The new ExtremeSwitching™ X870 Series offers customers high-density 100 gigabit (Gb) fixed form switches, suited for top-of-rack and leaf-spine architectures, while the new ExtremeSwitching X620-16p and X460-G2 Ethernet multi-rate switches integrate the latest IEEE 802.3bz and NBASE-T Alliance multi-rate Ethernet standards to support 1Gb, 2.5Gb and 5Gb data rates. Our new 2.5 Gigabit and 5 Gigabit multi-rate access switches offer greater efficiency for moving higher bandwidths over copper infrastructure. Not only that, but our X870 provides a flexible range of high-speed rate options for connecting servers or other switches within the data center.
The high-density, high-performance data center switching of the X870 Series offers flexible migration from 10Gb to 100Gb with port licensing which allows customers to pay as they grow, lowering the upfront expense of a 100Gb investment by enabling migration from 10GB to 25, 40, 50 or 100Gb as needed and at the customer’s desired pace. Extreme’s X620-16p and X460-G2 provide multi-rate access to support next-gen devices with 1, 2.5, 5 and 10Gb bandwidth rates that flexibly accommodate the new and cascading demands of IOT devices, as well as the new generation of 802.11ac Wave 2 wireless access technology.
