Extreme’s 2017 channel momentum isn’t slowing down! We started the year off earning several awards and recognitions from CRN, including the 2017 XCellence Award for the Best State and Local Product/Service, a 5-star rating in CRN’s 2017 Partner Program Guide and inclusion in the 2017 Data Center 100.
Now, we’re excited to share three additional recognitions: our Chief Revenue and Services Officer, Bob Gault, has been named a 2017 Top Midmarket Vendor Executive, our President and CEO, Ed Meyercord, has been recognized as a Top 25 Innovator of 2017 and Extreme has been listed in the 2017 Network Connectivity Partner Program Guide.
To be named to CRN’s Top Midmarket Vendor Executive list, which was published earlier today, an executive must be an integral part of the corporate strategies for vendors that serve midsize customers. CRN recognized this in Bob Gault – with 20 years of experience in the IT industry, Bob’s deep expertise in leading sales and marketing programs propelled him to the influential position he holds within Extreme and the networking industry as a whole.
But Bob is not the only Extreme executive garnering attention within the industry. In August, Extreme’s President and CEO, Ed Meyercord, was named a Top 25 Innovator of 2017 for his leadership around our recent acquisitions and rebranding efforts over the past year. Under Ed’s leadership, Extreme has experienced record growth and improved positioning within the networking industry.
CRN included Extreme in the Network Connectivity Services Partner Program Guide in July. The guide recognizes vendors that continually help their channel partners understand IT-telecom convergence, and our team is thrilled to be acknowledged for our efforts. We’ve demonstrated this by implementing new partner-specific programs, including our Cloud Specialization Program, which empowers partners to enhance their cloud solution skill set, and our Cloud Managed Services Program, which incentivizes and rewards partners for building and selling their managed services around ExtremeCloud™. We have also seen continued success from our Wireless Specialization Program, and the Ultimate Warrior Program, a new offering within the Extreme Partner Network that provides incentives for partners, and our rebate programs. Finally, we have broadened our offerings through our recent acquisition of Zebra Technologies’ WLAN business and Avaya Networking.
As 2017 begins to wind down, we’re looking forward to continuing our momentum over the next few months, into 2018 and beyond.
