EDUCAUSE 2017: Campus Wi-Fi Networks, Michio Kaku, Katherine Milkman, and Temple Grandin

Bob NilssonDirector, Vertical Solutions MarketingOctober 16th 2017

Emerging styles of learning and how they can be enhanced by the latest IT infrastructure will debated this month in Philadelphia at this year’s EDUCAUSE Conference. We’ll be comparing notes on virtual and augmented reality, the Internet of Things, how to handle surging on-campus network traffic, and how to improve the quality of our everyday decision by understanding our decision biases. The latter will be addressed by keynote speaker Katherine Milkman. Another keynote speaker, the futurist, physicist, and bestselling author Michio Kaku will be energizing the higher ed IT audience with his views on the next 20 years in education and technology.

From Tuesday, October 31 to Friday, November 3, we’ll be joined by 8,000 attendees and 275 other exhibitors sharing ideas and innovative education technology solutions that will shape the future of learning. At booth #2313, you can see Extreme’s demonstrations of the latest software-driven networking solutions that enable colleges and universities to provide rewarding, connected experiences that enhance learning. These demonstrations include:

Be sure to stop by and learn why universities such as Catawba College have deployed our Camera AP 3916i solution to improve visibility into classroom activity while enhancing overall network connectivity. You’ll also see how we’ve integrated Avaya’s networking products into the Extreme Management Center environments and how the new Extreme Automated Campus eliminates networking complexity, increases security and delivers increased visibility into the network.

Our Extreme experts will be on-site to discuss the company’s momentum in becoming the only company in the world exclusively focused on providing software-driven wired and wireless networking solutions for the enterprise. By acquiring Avaya’s networking business and looking towards the upcoming Brocade data center networking acquisition, we’ll continue to bring more value to education IT, especially at schools looking to deploy innovative solutions.

If you’re planning to be at the show, I invite you to pre-register now for our VIP demo tour. Once completed, you’ll be given a $15 Amazon gift card.

Come to our customer reception on Tuesday, October 31 at Bank & Bourbon from 7 – 9 p.m. for food, drink and a chance to mingle with Extreme’s executive leadership and technical teams. RSVP by emailing Brianna at bbutler@extremenetworks.com.

I hope to see you in Philly!
